Plot/Intro: In a simple land, simple creatures will take hold. Simple Creatures will survive, and Simple Creatures will reign supreme.
It was the avian flu, the bird flu, that got them. The virus mutated swiftly and smartly, so immune to every cure they tried they never had a chance. The disease spread all around the world, becoming stronger as it passed from one person to the next. Soon, the last thing that anyone would have imagined happened: The Global Extinction of Humans.
Upon this event, biuldings started to crumble. As if tears of the entities that missed and wished and prayed for the humans, they fell in great pieces, creating large piles of rubble and a great many ruins. Many creatures were crushed beneath their weight, but many made it out as well. The majority of the beasts now freed from the people, for the flu was unable to transform itself to be compadable with other species before it died out with the people. In the ruins of the cities, there was a new supreme species, a new dominant race. The dogs were ontop now, big or small breeding, they were looking out for each other and letting the other animals know it. The land was theirs now, in ruins or not. The structure that those who hadn't previously perished wished would fade away and hadn't was the fence surrounding the city. Where larger prey animals like nimble deer or tall moose might be able to leap over it, the dogs couldn't. Luckily, it also kept out lumbering bears and large wolves.
Despite the enthusiasm and excitement, many were apprehensive. They needed to learn to hunt, scavenge, and lead each other as well as follow. Packlands and heiarchies needed to be established, as other beings began to encroach on the territories. Quickly, half-heirarchies began to deRaggedFang-she-cat tortie lope and the dogs defended their terf. They ruled the lands, which were coming more and more naterous everyday, and improved their systems every generation. Their instincts sharpened, and they became true creatures of the wild.
