Lion Dawn
Lion Dawn is a realistic roleplay closely based upon the actual behavior and society of a lion pride. All information you find in the introduction board has been carefully researched and adapted for roleplaying, and will hopefully be a great experience! We are searching for literate and creative members who are curious about the world around them and are willing to learn more about African wildlife while at the same time playing a lion of their own creation, either a Wanderer or a Pride lion. For a plot summary, please take a look below.
________________________________________________________
For the last few seasons, the mighty grasslands of Africa—so long ruled by the majestic lion, King of the Beasts—has been held captive by fear. All the creatures of savannah, even the former animals who ruled it, the lions, are restricted to the boundaries of their territory, afraid of what lies beyond.
For across the great river that marks the borders is part of the land never explored, a place guarded by the hungry crocodiles and treacherous rapids of the wide water that separates the grasslands and the desert. These are dangers that do not seem to dissuade the terrifying beasts of the other side that are becoming more and more bold in their intrusions. Wanderers—the lions that belong to no pride, cast out into the waste in legends of long ago for fear of the mighty prides that range in their territories far across the savannah—are stalking the lands like phantoms. Rumors fly of them being monsters, savage and vicious: perhaps, as the wildest tales told in whispers say, even the eaters of man, the most dangerous animal of them all.
The lion prides are buzzing with panic, unorganized and run ragged from the devastating attacks of the mysterious wanderers. Cubs go missing: without warning, lionesses appearing to be possessed force their way across the river and through their desperate kin in order to vanish on the other side: pride leaders are found literally torn apart, their manes hacked from their carcasses. Tension and fear reign.
But from the darkness comes the next generation, young, strong, and determined to put an end to the violence and return the strength and nobility to their prides. It is now a matter of joining together to fight—or being destroyed by the terrifying unknown.
Will you be the one who finds victory?
